I’m Andrew Loutfi. I work on the layer under the product, the part that only gets attention when it’s down.
I’ve been at this since 2016. A university research lab, then a pharmacogenomics company, then a data platform team where I ran Kubernetes-based ETL and eventually led the group. Somewhere in there I finished a BS in Computer Science at Luther College and an MS in Software Engineering at the University of Minnesota.
Now I’m building backbone, a Terraform-driven architecture for cloud-agnostic infrastructure. I write here about backend and platform work, plus the DevSecOps chores nobody puts on a conference slide. Yes, AI shows up in a lot of it.
There is more than one Andrew Loutfi on the internet. I’m the one with the Kubernetes clusters.
Reach me at me@aloutfi.com. I’m also on GitHub and X.
